The 2K11 24/7 CCLXI: The End is the Beginning is the End

While Batman & Robin was a horrible movie, they did get something right — the soundtrack. While little of it got much fanfare, it’s still enjoyable. It includes two Smashing Pumpkins songs that’re meant to be reflections of one another — “The Beginning is the End is the Beginning” and “The End is the Beginning is the End”. I think they hit the nail right on the head there — the end is the beginning is the end.

Every day, we face the end of something, even if it’s only the end of the day itself. But there’re ends to everything.
Whatever had me going for the first two-thirds of the year cranking out blog post after blog post has just about run out, I think. Despite having a bunch of stuff written up, I just can’t find it in me to wrap it all up and get it queued for posting. So I guess I need to stop what I was doing and start something new to make sure I see this commitment through!
But who knows what that’s supposed to be?
I think we’re only built to do things for so long before they get stale. Before the mind starts wandering in search of the next adventure. That’s me, right there, right now — looking for the next adventure. Trying to stop floundering, stop trying to piece it all together all at once and instead, I just need to start DOING it. Just get one thing done per day and go from there.
Baby steps.
We start on the right foot, but lose that footing somewhere along the way. We get lost. At some point, we stop trying to find our way at all.
That won’t be me. I don’t give up that easily.
So begins a new journey. Baby steps — each thing I finish is another step. Each things that winds up getting off of my plate is a step. Each thing off of the to-do list is a step.
It’s time to learn how to walk once more.
