You know what happens when you sit down and really take stock of the tools and resources you’ve amassed in your quest to become a better blogger?
You suddenly realize you’ve been making things harder for yourself than you needed to.
I’ve always struggled with video, spending hours I don’t have filming, editing and publishing, but it always felt so forced.
Then I found Adobe Voice.
People give Adobe a lot of grief over their move to a subscription model a couple of years back, but it’s got me working my creative juices in ways I hadn’t done in more than a decade.
And the more I explore, the more I find tools that just make things easier, and bring me closer to producing the kind of content I’d always imagined making, but never found the time to make real.
When all you need to do is record your voice and sync it with text and images to add some punch to your tale, why wouldn’t you do it?
I guess what I’m trying to say is that there’s no rule saying all I can do is write. Writing’s gotten me this far, but who knows what’s possible when I share parts of me the world’s never seen before?
So expect more experiments. Anticipate a little less consistency as I try new things. But ultimately, know that I’m trying to become the best storyteller possible, and I’ll explore every path I can find until I get there!
I hope you enjoy the video—there’s definitely more to come!
Until the next,

Great piece Casey! You’re so right about finding that groove and moving to it however it guides you. Looking forward to more videos now. 😉
Thanks, Andeen! I’m hoping to put these together whenever something compels me — I almost did when we had an arsonist in my hood and I woke up to just about every station in this city across the street from me, but couldn’t get it together.
But in any case — this won’t be the last ?
