I know a thing or two about managing multiple schedules.
Even before we factor my family in, I’m always on the go. Between my calendar for the 9-5 filled with meetings galore; my Google Calendar with its events, its dinner and those odd social interactions; and the CoSchedule content calendar which is the only way I can keep my blog straight, managing this life is no joke and relies on great tools to get me where I need to be when I need to be there.
Of course, my family’s no better—Sarah gets antsy if she’s inside too long, and being home with both boys ’til the eldest starts kindergarten this fall, her calendar’s filled with all manner of play date, church group and doctor’s appointments that keep the days going by.
With schedules like these, it’s easy to see how things sometimes slip through the cracks.
But things needn’t stay that way, and that’s what the COOSHA team intends to prove with their free calendar app—that the well-informed and -organised family is the family keeping their hair ’til they’re old and grey!
What the Heck’s a COOSHA???
With its Android release out earlier this month, the COOSHA Calendar Life Organizer is an app from COOSHACAL Inc. designed to make your life easier by getting family and friends on the same page. The casual scheduler might be quick to dismiss COOSHA as “just another calendar app”, but a few minutes playing with it reveals it’s so much more than that.
The problem with most calendar apps is that they’re good at telling you when and where something’s happening. You can decide who to invite and who to share your calendar with… but what then? What do you do once you’ve reached your destination? How do others know you did your part once you got there? What once took event planners, personal assistants and busy parents several apps to accomplish is now doable through the simple interface of COOSHA.
On top of the core calendar functionality, COOSHA also boasts shared lists, allowing you to easily assign tasks to your COOSHA friends as needed, making arguments over who’s doing what a thing of the past!
I didn’t entirely get it at first, trying to create a group calendar for the boys’ activities with no one else in it, but I tinkered ’til it was doing what I wanted to manage the dozen (!!) calendars I’d imported from my Android phone.
In short, it’s your multi-tool to solve your organisational woes in a brand new way!
The COOSHA Calendar Life Organizer—Start Taking Control of Your Life Today!
This could become a regular thing—I can create events offline on my daily subway commute, syncing automatically when I’m back online. I can create custom reminders so I know what I need to do for an upcoming event, like remembering to attach a roof rack the weekend before I go camping. It’s a free calendar app without ads, in-app purchases or subscription fees, and does pretty much exactly what you need it to—help you keep on top of a life that’d be way too confusing otherwise.
It’s easy to let time slip away. Just the other day, I missed a party for my cousin’s baby girl because I had the wrong date in my head. There’s just too much going on, and we’re doing ourselves no favours using tools that don’t strive to help us through it all.
In 2017, expect more from your tools and try an app like COOSHA to take control of your life. You’d be surprised what you can do with a little extra time each day—it really adds up!
Make the most of your 2017, and I’ll catch you next time!
Until then,
Disclaimer: Yes, COOSHACAL Inc. compensate for this post, but let’s be honest—I’m pretty much their perfect user. I’d lose my head if it weren’t attached to my body, so if someone offers up a dope calendar app, I’m there!
