I watch a lot of TV. A lot. I watch while I work on my content, often up ’til 2 or 3 AM with Netflix as background noise while I create. I’ve watched so many shows that I’ve gotten really picky on what I call a “good show”.
I love The Wire—an amazing look into the underbelly of Baltimore and everyone affected by it. It’s great… except for Seasons 2 and 5.
The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air‘s one of the funniest sitcoms in the history of the genre… well, until they switched Aunt Viv halfway through and it went into the toilet.
They tell me to watch Seinfeld and House, M.D., but the idea of investing 9 seasons into something I won’t love frightens me (ironic, since I’m watching It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia as I write this).
But the one show that never lets me down is One Piece. 15 years into the manga’s run and it’s only drawn me in deeper. It covers everything from the bonds of friendship to standing up for what you believe in—even if it means standing up against a government that runs the entire world.
Though I’ve watched the entire series once, Crunchyroll finally adding the full series to their service 30 episodes a week is amazing for someone who’s had them stored on a heavy external hard drive day for far too long.
Now if they could only get auto-play like Netflix….
