I’m reminded all too often that homeownership is usually a pain in the rear. It’s exactly why condos prove such an appealing option for the modern homeowner—with the numerous things we use to fill our days, we don’t have the time that our predecessors had to mow lawns, mend fences, and weed gardens. There’s a lot involved in home upkeep, and none can pull it off without a lot of extra help!
But as the list of household tasks grows in size, you often discover things to do that you never even considered—in our years here, we’ve had to replace pipes, install latches, upgrade locks, and more. We’ve needed to prune fallen branches and re-pave our driveway… you never know what problems you’ll have to solve until they make themselves known, and easy as it is to find Band-Aid fixes so you can move on with your days, it’s far better to do things right the first time so it’s unlikely you’ll have to deal with the same problem twice.
This in mind, the powers-that-be sent me a number of tools to help my family get the most from the house we call home, and in this series, I hope to show you what even small changes can do to improve your quality of life!
And the first item on the list? The Dyson Pure Cool Link cooling and air purification system from the geniuses at Dyson!
What exactly does the Dyson Pure Cool Link DO?
It’s the age of the smart home—just as we expect our modern phones to do more than just call, we should expect more from other household devices we too often take for granted, and the Dyson Pure Cool Link will make you rethink the fan and what it can do for you!
Full disclosure, my family was initially sceptical about the Dyson Pure Cool Link—I mean, in a house that already has central air conditioning, what good would a fan do?
But it didn’t take long to convert us!
My turning point was the night I walked home due to an unforeseen subway closure, clothes sticking to my frame from a Toronto heatwave that just wouldn’t quit. It was cool enough when I walked in the door an hour later, but you can only blast the air conditioning so much if you’re not keen on having some sick little kids to look after, so I flopped down with resigned discomfort and clicked the switch for the Dyson Pure Cool Link to see what it could do to make me a little less of a hot mess.
And friends—my mind was blown.
A purifying cool fan in the heat of summer and an effective air purifier for the rest of the year, the Dyson Pure Cool Link’s filter’s pleated over 200 times, letting it trap 99.97% of particles as small as 0.3 microns, including pollen, bacteria, viruses and other ultrafine particles! It has some pretty cool tech inside, including three sensors that detect the indoor air quality level, temperature, and humidity level, and you can even set the Pure Cool Link to automatic so it can monitor levels and then report back to your smartphone via the Dyson Link App!
Sure—it’s cool that the Dyson Pure Cool Link comes with a remote, but how much cooler would it be to control the same device from your phone without even pointing it at your fan? You might feel like the air’s a little dry or that it’s tickling your throat, but how much better would you feel with weeks of evidence to tell you what it’s like to live in your home? This is the future of our homes—knowing precisely what we need to get the most from our appliances, and the Dyson Pure Cool Link is but an example of what’s possible as our technology continues evolving!
The Dyson Pure Cool Link—Why Just Cool When You Can Do SO Much More?
If you’re looking for an appliance that’ll make sure you get the most of the air you breathe with every passing day, check out the Dyson Pure Cool Link—it’ll take your breath away!
…in the purely poetic sense, of course.
Until the next,

Disclaimer: Dyson sent the Dyson Pure Cool Link for review to see whether it’d prove a worthwhile appliance for my family. Of course, all views remain my own. I hope you get a chance to try it out—this fan just got a new one itself!
