Everyone should have at least one experience that’s truly for themselves—something utterly indelible from their life story that lays the foundation for everything to happen from that point forward… the stuff of epiphanies. Too often, we take our lives for granted—too many of us have grown accustomed to having things simply handed to us, no longer fit to fight for anything we really want from our lives. We simply expect that water comes from the tap when we turn the faucet, or that the Internet will load blazingly fast when we use it. In the “developed world”, we’ve become soft. Lazy. Woefully complacent, quietly accepting mediocrity as our standard, not fighting for something more.

Me—I had to climb 19,000 feet to find my experience, my body beaten and battered, awash with the unfiltered rays of the sun as I realized something that’s spurred me forward ever since —

“If I can do this, I can do anything.”

Back from the Mountaintop—A World Quite Unlike How I Remembered It.

Little will give your paradigms and insights a firm kick in the seat like being so far removed from all you know that you can’t help but change the way you see the world.

With the air devoid of the constant background hum of human activity I was so accustomed to, and the view unobstructed by anything as we stood above the clouds, it was eye-opening for a city kid who’d rarely been anywhere without millions around him, helping me see my world in a whole new light.

When I came back, everything felt… different. I was immersed in the hum of the city once more, but it felt like a massive sadness as everyone struggled with their fabricated problems. Weather too hot, weather too cold. Another sports loss, or a transit delay a few minutes long. There were so many things in the air holding people back—so many things that didn’t need to.

We are powerful. Capable. Amazing individuals who can accomplish things we couldn’t even dream of… but we’re all too ready to hold ourselves back, poisoned by a world convincing us we can only be so good because excelling in a global society is simply too hard.

Find Your Moment—Your Happiness DEPENDS On It!

Somewhere out there you’ll find your moment. It’ll look different for everyone, but I can’t stress how important it is to have something to keep you standing when the world tries breaking you down.

The world’s full of miserable people, happy to drag you down if you’ll let ’em. Whenever the haters come at me, trying to kill my vibe, I go back to my mountaintop and remember that feeling—the feeling of being quite literally on top of the world, ready to solve any problem with enough time, energy, and determination.

Everyone—find your mountaintop. Fill your lives with things that no one can ever take from you. And the next time the world tries sinking its claws into you, loosing your grip on the goals you’re after, you can look the world in the eye and tell it what for… with a rock-solid foundation, who can shake you?!

Good luck out there in the cold, cold world, and I hope you find the moment that’ll make you immovable—you’ve no idea how it can change your life!

Until the next,
