Paying it Forward

Sometimes it’s hard to find inspiration/motivation. You wake up some mornings and just don’t want to do whatever you’re supposed to be doing, whether that’s work, school, looking for a job, or whatever it is that you do.

That drive—that push to go forward—it can be elusive, absent no matter where you look for it.

I find that I get really run down by too much routine and monotony. Too many commitments and too much work make Casey something something…

So instead of focusing on the blog and how I might be doing with it today, I played roles in helping other people figure out theirs.

At work, I sat on a focus group to re-do the website for an organization-wide communication, and it was good to share ideas with others who also care about pushing the way we interact and collaborate forward into more modern arenas.

After work, I helped a friend figure out some of the key elements he could look at to put together a future blog that he and his wife are looking at doing.

It’s days like these where it’s just good to look at the accomplishments for the day and be happy with them ????

Because if what I’ve learned so far—despite the fact that there’s always more to be learned—can help others write better blogs, then why not pay it forward?

We should always be aware of how far we’ve come in our lives and where we might be able to take the lessons we’ve learned and help others out who might be walking similar paths.

With that said, it’s time to look at my drafts and scribbles and get back on track.

I bid you adieu,
