Stankin’ Tuesday

Twilight at the Viamede Resort

What up, what up, y’all? It’s your boy Case P. here on a Stankin’ Tuesday, where I was so distracted this morning that I forgot to put deodorant on, but them’s the breaks.

Today I started a new job—in fact, the 9th job in the last 6 years. Now anywhere outside of government, this would show I sucked at holding a job down, always getting into trouble—or maybe I want very loyal, jumping ship at the first sign of trouble. But in the public sector, it’s all about growing through your opportunities. I was approached for this job due to the work and long hours I’d put in on some multi-million IT projects I’d done in the past, and when you can turn something that everyone had all but given up on into a success, it’s not soon forgotten. So I’ve been asked to come in to another situation, bat swinging as I try to make sense of a bunch of data and turn it into something we can actually use. Good thing I’m trying to get this out of the way before DoomzToo makes his grand début, yeah?

All things considered, life’s going in a good direction. And I’m going to end this Stankin’ Tuesday with a shower, some ironing, and putting my deodorant in plain sight, because tomorrow’s another day!

Stay fresh,

  1. Congrats on the new gig Kazzle! (Just trying out the name to see if it sticks.) Seriously though, well done Casey!

I really want to see the Butler. My Dad went to see it and said it was good!

    1. It’s good 🙂 Lots of great acting by many big names — it just didn’t have the emotional connection that I’d felt from Fruitvale Station, or The Shawshank Redemption, or Antwone Fisher, to name a few. I look forward to Mandela — it looks AMAZING and Idris Elba ain’t no joke!

As for Kazzle, well… we’ll work on that, Samoan 🙂

    1. HA! Thanks, Christine — to be honest, one of the posts I have in the hopper is seriously just a list of all the stuff I have planned to do. I’m fairly certain I’m well on the path to being certifiably insane, but let’s keep that one between you and me 😉

  2. UMMM I GOT MENTIONED?!

I didn’t even see this! Yay for the Zelda plug (irony that I work at the venue or…?)

Also – don’t be THAT guy without deo for the B.O. man!

    1. It was literally my first day at a new office and I hadn’t established my stock of toiletries yet! SITUATION RECTIFIED FOR ALL FUTURE OCCURRENCES, THANK YOU.

And yeah, totally wish I could’ve gone, but alas =/

    1. Unfortunately, I’ll be moving it from a full room to a desk in the corner of the dining room. Eventually, when we no longer have tenants in the basement, I can take one of the rooms over down there, but I’ll just have to be patient 🙂
