So I can say with the utmost confidence that I’m happy to be out of the “baby phase.” Yes, there’s a lot to appreciate about an infant—especially the second time around when you spend less time worrying about every little thing and more time enjoying them before that phase passes before you know it—but those first six months are hard. Sporadic sleep schedules. Questionable mental health. It feels like a never-ending challenge, and then one day it does end. It ends, and you’re suddenly breathing a bit easier, sleeping a bit better, and getting tricked into having more kids. (Parents of older kids—I see y’all with your trickery!)
But just as we strive to do better for our children than our parents could for us, perhaps we should do what we can to help build a better generation of parents that we were! We can teach them from our experiences. Reassure them when they feel they’re failing. And introduce them to better tools that’ll make parenting all that much easier.
And what kind of parent would you be if that list didn’t include Pampers Baby Dry?
