Once upon a time, coffee was simple. You got regular or decaf. You drank it while it’s hot. It was a world before “gourmet” was even part of the picture and our tastes grew so… refined. It’s a world where you find brands like Keurig and Van Houtte working hard to bring that indie coffee shop feel to the comfort of your home!
It’s easy to talk about Canada’s 150th and think only of the end—all the celebrating we’re doing in 2017 to mark the occasion.
But we’ve travelled a long path to get here—much has happened in the nearly 55,000 days since Confederation, including that time in 1919 when Albert-Louis Van Houtte opened his first fine grocery store in Montreal where he could focus on his coffee passion. Ever since, the brand that is his legacy offers rich, premium-quality coffee through a single-batch roasting process that draws out the aromas and flavours of the beans.
All sounds great, right? And horribly complicated—you don’t have a signature blend dating nearly a hundred years by crafting something you can just find anywhere else!
Well, complicated until now—with several Van Houtte flavours available in Keurig’s signature K-Cups, you can wake up to a great cup of coffee every time you get out of bed!
Which would be great if I drank coffee.
Yes, you heard me—I don’t drink coffee.
This simple fact often shocks anyone who’s ever met me in person, the high-energy larger-than-life man that I am.
But that’s just me—I’ve seen all too well how a negative outlook can drag you down, so I try living on the other end of the spectrum, trying to keep upbeat even when the world might want to see us otherwise.
Sarah, though—her day’s just not the same without her jolt of java in the morning, We still joke about the one time she asked me to make her a pot to help out, and I hadn’t the slightest clue of how to work our coffee maker!
I might not drink coffee, but what I know is this—there’s a huge difference between amazing coffee and swill disguised as coffee! Wouldn’t it be nice to get your hands on something that gets it right every time?
What the Keurig K200 PLUS offers is a way to brew hot beverages tailored to your personal style and taste! It’s compact, colourful and versatile, and with 28 Van Houtte varieties available alone (not to mention nearly a hundred others that shall remain unnamed), it’s nearly impossible to say there’s not a mix for you! And hey—even if the regular K-Cup’s not your cup of tea (see what I did there?), there’s even a Keurig 2.0 My K-Cup Reusable Coffee Filter so you can still brew great coffee without tossing anything away!
If you want a quick and easy way to add delicious flavour to your day (and I can say this because it even brews tea), the K200 may be exactly what you need!
Kicking Up Your Coffee Game with Van Houtte and Keurig—Because Your Time is Precious; So You Should TREAT It That Way.
The older you get, the more you realise how finite time is, and who wants to waste it when they don’t have to?
The Keurig K200 PLUS offers an upgrade to your morning routine by just making the coffee-brewing process… simpler. Who wouldn’t benefit from a little less complication in their lives?
Fun fact: only the Netherlands and Finland drink more litres of coffee per capita than us, so I’m pretty sure there are at least one of my readers who’d love to have this in their home! Help me help you make your life a little simpler, and I’ll see you at the next post!
Until then,
Disclaimer: Keurig provided a Keurig 2.0 home brewing unit for review with plenty of Van Houtte K-Cups and ground coffee to try it out! Thoughts and opinions, as always, remain my own. Well, mostly Sarah’s—she consumes 100% of the coffee in our house!
